Memory moving through stone and silver, and she knew she was a queen. . . A sterling silver Yalalag Cross from Oaxaca, Mexico centers this hand beaded collar of very fine, faceted garnets, sterling silver wire, sterling silver Bali beads, and sterling silver hook clasp.

Length: 14 inches
Pendant: 4 inches

When I began to design this collar, I did not start with the pendant as I normally do, but with the stones. I created this collar with an abundance of fine, faceted garnet beads I had collected. As a result, it has become an explosion of extraordinary, deep red. Garnet is not the semi-precious stone usually combined with a sterling silver Yalalag cross from Oaxaca, Mexico; but I wanted to create my vision of a collar overflowing with garnets and I succeeded! Rich in its red fire, this collar necklace possesses both beauty and glamour that calls out to my heart.
